Welcome to the 2008 Canadian VG Olympic trials. This weekend Canada's top 12 senior elite gymnasts will be competing for a
spot on this years Olympic team. The competition will consist of 2 days and all results will be combined at the end of the
2 days. The top 2 AA gymnasts will automatically be named to the Olympic team followed by a training squad of 6 gymnasts who
will then travel to the national team training center where the rest of the team will be selected, including 2 alternates.
The Olympic team training camp will take place on July 5th-6th, 2008.

Well day 1 of the Canadian VG Olympic trials is now over and what a competition it was. The 12 seniors who attended this
competition were fighting tonight for every stuck landing harder than they have ever fought before.
Stand out performances of the night:
VAULT
Krsitin Bari's spectacular Yurchenko 2/1 scoring a 9.625
BARS
Veteran Kristina Koffington's stellar routines. Clean lines and nailed dismount. Definitely an event she could challenge
on in Beijing.
BEAM
Kendra Hibbs performed a difficulty packed routine with near perfect execution. Beautiful lines and dance throughout
FLOOR
Sara Cortney showed off a very dramatic routine with lots of dance but also jammed pack with difficulty. She received
a standing ovation.
